Operation Manager (National Holdings)
National Holding is seeking an experienced restaurant Operations Manager to focus on overseeing the smooth planning and operation of the outlet Metrolanes (Bowling Lanes). You will take a hands-on approach to the day-to-day management of the restaurant while being an innovative leader and being conscious of the financial management of the business.
The role will involve:
• Managing day-to-day operations of the business.
• Ensure that proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, customers, and company assets.
• Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.
• Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labour costs.
• Develop and implement sales & marketing strategies to promote the venues and increase and sustain revenues. Oversee food & drinks menu creation and service delivery.
• Managing profit and budget in relation to food and beverage costs.
• Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs.
• Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies/relevant laws.
• Training and supervising the staff.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety laws.
• Food safety and quality management.
• Menu planning.
• Hosting special functions.
• Hiring of staff.
• Project management of new ventures.
Ideal skills & experience
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
· Excellent knowledge of the Hospitality industry.
· Excellent knowledge of food and beverage.
· Demonstrate the ability to lead & direct the team in a busy operation.
· Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
· Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Management position.
· Sound commercial skills with the knowledge to manage multiple businesses from the ground up.
· Driven, passionate and constantly looking for improvements and opportunities.
· In-depth of the complexities of managing multi-sites.
· The ability to work autonomously whilst building strong working relationships with your team and those you lead.
